NMLS Policy Guidebook Updates Available Posted 4/27/2020 An updated version of the NMLS Policy Guidebook has been posted to the NMLS Resource Center and the Regulator Resource Center. Test Centers to Remain Closed Through May 31, Except for NMLS and Other Essential Programs Posted 4/23/2020 ​Prometric test centers in North America will remain closed until May 31, except for essential programs, including NMLS. On May 1, Prometric anticipates opening a limited number of test centers, where local and state guidelines allow. In addition, starting in mid-May SAFE MLO National Test candidates will also have the option to take the test via remote proctoring. Agency News Alaska Adds Deferred Deposit Advance License to NMLS May 1, 2020 Posted 5/1/2020 ​NMLS is now receiving new application and transition filings for the Alaska Division of Banking and Securities Deferred Deposit Advance License. New applicants and existing licensees are now able to submit these records through NMLS. Note: Companies holding these license types are required to submit a license transition request through NMLS by filing a Company Form (MU1) and an Individual Form (MU2) for each of their control persons by July. Ohio Adds Credit Services Organization Certificate of Registration to NMLS April 23, 2020 Posted 4/23/2020 NMLS is now receiving new application and transition filings for the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions’ Credit Services Organization Certificate of Registration. New applicants and existing licensees are now able to submit these records through NMLS. Note: Companies holding these license types are required to submit a license transition request through NMLS by filing a Company Form (MU1) and an Individual Form (MU2) for each of their control persons by June 1. Additionally, for each branch holding these license types, companies are encouraged to complete and submit a Branch Form (MU3). Click here for more information. Delaware Adds Check Seller Money Transmitter License to NMLS and Begins Receiving Electronic Surety Bonds April 15, 2020 Posted 4/15/2020 ​NMLS is now receiving new application and transition filings for the Delaware Office of the State Bank Commissioner Check Seller Money Transmitter License. New applicants and existing licensees are now able to submit these records through NMLS. The agency will also begin receiving Electronic Surety Bonds (ESB) for this license type. Note: Companies holding these license types are required to submit a license transition request through NMLS by filing a Company Form (MU1) and an Individual Form (MU2) for each of their control persons by June 15. New Business Continuity-Related Document Upload Types Added to NMLS Posted 4/8/2020 Document upload types for Business Continuity Plan and Business Continuity Operational Status Report are available in NMLS. These new document upload types have been created to assist state agencies in addressing and minimizing licensees' operational and financial risks associated with COVID-19 and to allow licensees to upload a single document that meets the needs of all regulators for this information.
